As is tradition on the 4th of July America has been celebrating Independence Day all day today. The celebrations spread from New York to California and everywhere in between and as always the patriotism and enthusiasm has united everyone for a single night; no political arguments or fights, just pure celebration.
As always fireworks are the tool of choice when it comes to American celebration. For quite some time now fireworks have been a staple of Independence Day in America so obviously that tradition has continued for yet another year. Not only was today Independence Day for many Americans it was also the day that some people became Americans for the first time.
It is estimated that a few hundred immigrants officially became US citizens today, on Independence Day. This is not an uncommon occurrence but it is definitely a special occurrence for those involved; there is no better way to join a new country than through the nationwide celebration of freedom.
As always the idea of Independence Day rang true with nearly all Americans; today is the anniversary of the day that this unique country was formed and in honor of that everyone stood united as one to celebrate the founding of this country. Until next year there will obviously not be another Independence Day but for now the ongoing patriotism and national spirit will continue to linger for at least a few days just like the left over smoke from the fireworks used to celebrate.
