Sometimes circumstances and luck are all it takes to make miracles happen and that is exactly what happened in Brandon Turnbow’s case. One day Brandon was riding his motorcycle down the road and he happened to see a car drop a puppy on the side of the road before running off. Turnbow was so shocked by what he saw that he did the only thing he could think of, he stopped, grabbed the pup, and took him home. Turnbow grabbed the dog, made sure everything looked ok and took him home, shortly after picking him up he came up with a name “Mr. Davidson”. It’s heartbreaking to think that somebody could abandon a cute puppy on the side of the road, but this is a great reminder that anybody can easily step up and do the right thing.
Mr. Davidson now lives with Brandon Turnbow and another pup named Harley. Turnbow says he did report the incident to authorities but nothing ever came from it. He says he is just glad he was in the right place at the right time so that he could rescue the dog. Now that it’s been a couple of days Turnbow is happy to report that Mr. Davidson is doing great in his new home and seems very happy.
This just goes to show that one small act of kindness can really make a big impact. Turnbow doesn’t feel that his actions were heroic or spectacular, but he’s got a great new co-pilot to ride along on his bike. Harley and Mr. Davidson are also doing great together and enjoy each other’s company in the Turnbow household. Mr. Davidon’s vet check out went great, no health issues, and just a few small scrapes and bumps that he’ll quickly recover from.
Turnbow is taking the opportunity to voice his opinion on the matter while he’s got the spotlight. He wants everyone to know that if they’re not responsible enough to have a dog, or for any reason can’t take care of a pet they should do the right thing and have someone responsible take care of the animal. Shelters and humane societies are already overflowing in many areas but that’s still a better alternative to abandonment. Now is the time to address responsible pet ownership and Turnbow wants everybody to step up and do their part.
