What if you could download your brain into another body? It may be science fiction now, but a scientist is actually working on the theory that it is possible to do this very thing.
US based researcher Terrence Aym is working on a method that would allow humans to have their brain waves uploaded into a computer, then downloaded into another body, either flesh or android. They would then keep all their feelings, etc.
This research is very real and focuses on inventing a way to store the brain’s contents onto a silicon computer chip that could be used in another body, essentially making someone live again in another body.
If you body was hurt, sick or just wearing out, you would just download your brain to the chip and then transfer the info to another body and be fine again. We could possibly make clones of our own body or just use android bodies.
The research says they only need a few more things to be able to try it, which is a guaranteed Internet access; insurance that your avatar body’s identity is reliable, and to be able somehow to ensure your own personality, memories and everything that makes you who you are can be uploaded into some kind of digital version.
Then, a person would wake up in our new avatar body with all that makes us ourselves and live on again. The new body could be flesh or it could possibly be cybernetic. Aym says it all depends on when a computer exists that can hold the contents of a human brain, which would supposedly take up a lot of hard drive space.
