The search is still on for the husband of Rita Chretiens husband. Rita was found by hunters on May 6th and rescued in Elk County Nevada after being missing for 7 weeks.
When Albert and Rita Chretien left their home in Penticton British Columbia they had no idea what was in store for them on down the road. They were headed to a trade show in Las Vegas but never checked into their motel or showed up at the trade show.
The couple took a wrong turn on March 19thand then ended up stranded due to bad weather. On March 22, Albert left their van with a GPS and went to look for help. He never came back and still hasn’t been found.
Rita stayed with the van survived by drinking water from a creek and eating a bag of trail mix that the couple had in the van. Two hunters on ATV’s found Rita and rode ten miles to get cell service so she could be rescued.
The couple’s family is overjoyed about having 56 year old Rita found and safe, but is frantic with worry over their 59 year old father Albert.
Rita was flown to St. Luke’s Hospital in Twin Falls and listed in fair condition on Friday and Saturday.
The search still continues for Albert Chretien. Albert is about 5’6 and weighs around 175 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black hat, Khaki shirt and black pants.
Rita is in stable condition and her family is continuing to look for their dad.
