22-year-old Lauren went into her family’s garage to find to her utter shock her dad trapped underneath a car.

What gave her the strength to do what she did next is nothing short of a miracle. She was able to move the car weighing over a ton off her dad. She said she lifted the car and used her body to shove it as far as she could. She then got to her dad.

He was unconscious, eyes open, not responding. One can only imagine how scary that must have been for her.

Lauren was trained in lifeguarding, so that kicked in – she gave him CPR. She also talked to him, begging him not to leave her.

Two days later, her dad was walking slow and steady through the hallway of a hospital’s ICU, neck support, plugged into a drip, in recovery.

He gave his daughter an emotional thank-you.

Lauren said, “Seeing him move and like breathing, I literally sat there and was just watching his chest rise…that’s when I lost it. I started crying”. Maybe that’s when she fully realised she almost lost him.

But he made it – he came through – thanks to a daughter who fought for him.
