Debbie and her family lost everything they owned in a tornado that hit the Midwest recently. Revisiting her Kentucky home, all that’s left is the stove and piano.
She comes across as cheerful. And she is. She has good reason to be. When the tornado came knocking through the home, flattening everything in its wake, it could have been a whole lot worse for her and her family had it not been they were all in hospital awaiting the arrival of her grandson, Aiden.
In fact, Aiden was born at 4.44, close to the time the tornado powered through where his parents, Angela and Adam Praiswater, would have been sitting.
Debbie thinks her grandson is a hero. Had her daughter not gone into labor, it all could have been very different.
Aiden is adorable, not having a clue what the timing of his birth has done. Either that or it’s all in a day’s work for him!
Thanks to support from their local community school and the local heritage bank, her family have more than just the clothes on their backs, including a donated foreclosed home.
Whether it’s divine intervention or a beautiful coincidence, it’s a miracle the timing turned out the way it did, that they were pushed out of harm’s way.
