Yesterday a horrible story broke reporting that a girl had apparently fallen from the iconic Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, fortunately today we have found out that she miraculously survived and is currently recovering in the hospital. According to authorities the girl fell just before noon on Sunday but the exact details are currently unknown.
Of course immediately following the occurrence the idea that it was likely a suicide attempt surfaced but at this time officials are still saying it appears to have been an accident rather than intentional. Fortunately the girl did manage to survive the 25 story fall into the frigid water where she was eventually rescued and brought to shore.
Amazingly when Coast Guard teams responded to the incident and found the girl she was still conscious and alert. The Coast Guard team quickly pulled her from the water and began numerous emergency procedures to ensure that she was not injured in any way or bleeding.
Today the teenage girl is recovering well in a local San Francisco area hospital. According to some reports there was a surfer in the area that immediately responded to the girl falling and helped her until the Coast Guard arrived but at this time the exact details are unknown. Officials are still investigating the incident to determine if it was a possible suicide but at this time the primary focus is on the girl and her miraculous story of surviving such a massive fall into frigid and dangerous waters.
