Unbelievable. Incredible. Inspiring. Watch her go: confident, elegant, ready. You hear a couple of claps from the spectators when her name is announced. Maybe they know what to expect – maybe they know how awesome she is – or maybe they don’t – perhaps they’re not expecting much. But, she doesn’t look like she cares either way; she’s going for it.
What she then proceeds to do is amazing: a swing on the bars, then moving upside down and holding herself up there.
The crowd cheers.
She then plaits herself through the bars, making it look effortless and “how did she do that?” all at once!
Sounds of marvel from the audience and more energetic clapping.
Oh but she’s not done yet. She does a press-up on the bars, her body solely supported by the strength of her arms.
She weaves round the bars and lands on her feet to whoops and cheering…some more clapping, and more …and more…until the video cuts out.
Age is an excuse, just a number, a marker to indicate how long we’ve been on this earth. It is no indicator of who we truly are and what we’re capable of. Look at this woman. She is a perfect example of what’s possible.
