For millions of Americans the NFL is a major event each and every week during the fall and winter. Unfortunately for many fans the NFL and the NFL Player’s Union were undergoing some serious negotiation issues which eventually led to a lockout and likely cancelled the next NFL season. Today however came as a relief to these NFL fans as judges officially made a decision.
Late today a judge ruling on the case between the player’s union and the NFL officially ruled that the player’s union was the winning side of the argument. The NFL, as a result, would be forced to go on with the upcoming football season.
Of course the entire ordeal likely isn’t over. The NFL lockout is now officially lifted thanks to the judge’s ruling butt analysts say the NFL will likely appeal almost immediately. No word on what grounds the appeal will be based but the appeal will once again likely force the entire argument back into a season long lockout for the players.
As the NFL season draws nearer many analysts say it is still quite difficult to say for sure if the season will take place. Until the NFL and player’s unions find some sort of common ground to agree upon a lockout will likely still occur unless the judicial system finds some way to end the argument. As always only time will tell what happens but for now NFL fans are happy to hear that the season may happen after all.
