This week a man from France successfully achieved his dream, one that many people felt he would never achieve, skydiving over Mount Everest. At one point in his life Marc Kopp had hoped to scale Everest on his own but due to his diagnosis of multiple sclerosis that dream died many years ago. As his treatment progressed in the past few years he began to gain strength and eventually decided he wanted to do the next best thing, skydive over the mountain to see all of its beauty.
Kopp has been dealing with multiple sclerosis for over 10 years now and in the past year he began training heavily to prepare for this exciting opportunity. His pain and suffering was a major deterrent to his dream but Kopp continued to fight through it and eventually realized his dream. Kopp says he did it not only to realize his own dream but also to inspire others suffering from various disabilities. The story is incredibly heartwarming and touching and he says he is very glad he went through with it. Kopp was in fact the first disabled person to skydive over Mount Everest and his story has inspired millions of people around the world.
