Isn’t this just wonderful?! Frank Brown was born 100 years ago on the 12th of December 1912. Not only is his age a celebration in itself, but it means he was alive in two 12/12/12’s! Not many people can claim to have done that!
He looks snazzy in his hat and his suit. But his expression is casual, laid back, almost with a confidence, a self-knowing that he’d reach 100.
He blows out his cake. It has a picture of him on it.
Pictures are being taken. The people sitting close to him seem like family. He’s given a frame with the words ‘proclamation’ clearly standing out – perhaps to publicly declare his centenary.
It’s unfortunate the video ended when he was talking – it would have been great to hear the rest of what he was saying. Part of what he said was that “A lot of things change, you know…” “…some good, some bad.” And then it sounded like he was going to say “one day…”(one day at a time?)
Happy 100th birthday, Mr Brown! We salute you.
