Malaria is a big problem all around the world but thanks to various medicines malaria is much more controlled and treatable now than it ever has been before. The only problem is that producing the various malaria medications has been somewhat difficult which makes it expensive and nearly impossible to produce enough for a worldwide supply. Fortunately a new procedure discovered this week might make it significantly easier to produce malaria medication in extremely large quantities.
A German scientist working on new medical procedures discovered this new method and if it works as hoped it will effectively increase the worldwide supply of malaria drugs while also making them cheaper. The procedure is apparently a much simpler and faster method and doctors say that it is definitely great news for the world as it will lead to increased supplies. An official paper on the new method was published this week and as medical facilities around the world begin to test and develop the method it will become more clear whether or not it is applicable or useful. At this point it could be one of the biggest medical breakthroughs for much of the world. Malaria constantly affects millions of people and because of the difficulty associated with producing the necessary drugs it is often still fatal in many cases; with this new procedure millions of lives could be saved simply due to an increased supply of drugs and medication in the areas of the world that so desperately need it.
