“Everything happens for a reason”, Heather says. And so it would seem.
The storm in Texas back in June caused damage to Heather and her husband’s property, including their shed. In August, they took their shed down (perhaps to build a new one) and found something they didn’t expect: a class ring, a football quarter-finalist ring, to be precise. On the inside of it, it had the name of the owner: Michael Lugo.
Heather set about looking for Michael online. And she found him! Twenty years older and now a restaurateur in Florida, 1000 miles from where the ring was found.
Michael lost the ring after the garage that used to be on the Texan property burnt down. He’d kept his high school mementos there. “That was neat that she did that and found me halfway across the country.”
Heather said she’ll never look at the shed in quite the same way and that it was a treasure to find.
To find an object so small, in such circumstances. What are the chances?
