The holiday shopping season is a big part of the retail world, nearly every retailer depends heavily on the month or so between Thanksgiving and Christmas for their sales every year. Fortunately for them 2013 is shaping up to be a pretty good year according to current estimates and many retailers are even beginning to see holiday sales start to takeoff right now.
Christmas might still be over a month away and Thanksgiving is still over a week away, but that hasn’t affected retailers or shoppers around the United States. The sales are starting early and millions of consumers are getting out there and taking advantage of them already. Many retailers are reporting significant increases in sales already and they’re hopeful that this will continue for the entire shopping season. As a whole this is great news for everyone because it is a great indicator of the economy recovery that has been going on. In the coming weeks we’ll be able to see whether or not the growth continues or not but at this point things are definitely looking very promising.
Of course it is also good news for shoppers too because more and more retailers are building up some awesome holiday discounts. Now is absolutely the time to get started for holiday shopping and things are looking great.
