Little miss gorgeous baby (Michela) is in her crib crying for her mummy. Daddy tries to comfort her. She ain’t having it. He tries laying her back down in her crib. No, siree. She’s having none of it. Finally, he gets in the crib with her. Ten seconds later, lying sideways on his stomach, she’s out like a light.

Phew.

But, oh oh, how does he get out without waking her up?

And so begins his answer to that question.

He moves slowly, gently, trying not to wake his princess, but she snuggles in even more. At a point, while trying to wriggle out of the crib, it wakes her up –– she gets up, looks at him as if saying “now where do you think you’re going?”, then goes back to la-la land, repositioning herself across daddy’s tummy. She really has held him hostage.

Towards the end, it’s like they’re doing some kind of dance – him trying to peel her off him without waking her – and her repeatedly repositioning herself.

The various looks on his face as he tries to figure things out – hilarious!

It doesn’t quite work out the way either of them planned, but kudos to daddy for trying. Next time he climbs in the crib, he should go in with a good book. He’s gonna need it!
