Naval seaman Devin Maxwell and his wife, Crystal, have been married since 2010. This year, he was assigned to the Middle East for eight months. As you can imagine, he and his wife weren’t looking forward to being apart. “It was definitely one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do”, Crystal shared.

So you know what Devin did? He wrote her cards – lots of them – 241 in all – one for each day he’d be away – each one expressing how he felt about her.

Isn’t that sweet? Was probably time consuming to do, but so romantic for the thought and the time it took.

“It was the greatest thing he could have done for me”.

Crystal reads one of his cards each morning. Each card is dated. Then, she takes a picture of herself with it and emails it to Devin.

She started posting up his love cards on the net. No one could have expected the response she got – she received thousands of inspired comments. To date, more than 26 million people have viewed the love cards.

“This isn’t just about us anymore.” “He’s putting smiles on the faces of millions of people across the planet”.

Like Crystal said towards the end of the video, who does that, who writes that many cards? Well, it looks like Devin’s heart does.
