Rose Gilbert (aka Momma G!) has been a teacher at Los Angeles’ Unified School District for a whopping 63 years. That’s over half a century of passion and dedication. Imagine all the students who’ve passed through her doors. Amazing.

At age 90, she was still at it; it would be another four years before she’d decide to call it a day in the classrooms that have probably been like a second home to her. Having worked that long, it’s bound to.

Her colleagues are said to be sad to see her go. Who wouldn’t be? She comes across as one hell of a lady with an incredible amount of energy, so it’s understandable she’ll be missed.

It might spell the end of her teaching career, but if she’s been teaching into her 90’s, chances are she won’t be idle for long – she’ll likely keep herself active in retirement.
