It’s hard to believe how fast Zoe’s little hands move as she plays the guitar in this video (a track by Finnish metal band, Stratovarius). The look of sheer concentration on her face is remarkable to watch. And she’s only eight! The guitar is almost as big as she is and yet she handles it with such experience and calm. Look at how poised her face is compared with how fast her hands are moving. She does crack a beautiful smile somewhere towards the end – one of self satisfaction perhaps – and an even bigger one right at the very end when she finally looks up at the camera.

Oh, and all that you’re about to hear in the video is apparently a work-in-progress, folks! She hasn’t perfected the tune yet. Wow! If that’s not perfection, then what is?

The video has received over 3 million hits on YouTube and counting. No surprise there for a talent that incredible. She’s in a band too, called “the Mini Band”, with a group of other talented kids aged 8 to 11. They’re making waves as a band, having been in the newspapers, on TV and received a video from Metallica commending them on their gift.

If Zoe’s this amazing ball of creative energy and she’s only eight, she has a really bright future ahead of her if her talent continues to be nurtured.
