10 Minutes Can Boost Life Expectancy

Obesity and a lack of exercise is a major problem for millions of people around the world and unfortunately things are not improving in most areas. The good news is that this week a medical study released shows that just a few simple steps can actually make a huge difference in terms of life expectancy for even the most overweight people. The study was focused on people that exercise just over 10 minutes per day and it showed that there can be a significant life expectancy increase.

Just 10 minutes of exercise per day was linked to a life expectancy increase of nearly 2 years, which is a very noticeable change. Of course the study also showed that 20 minutes, 30 minutes, or an hour each added progressively more time onto a person’s life which once again shows the importance of exercise. The good news is that no matter how bad of shape a person is in, a simple and short workout really can make a difference.

As always doctors are recommending exercise and healthy eating to everyone and this just goes to show that even the slightest change can make a big difference. A quick 10 minute workout per day might not be enough according to most doctors, but it will at least get you started in the right direction.

U.S. Courts Officially Rule on New Medicare System

Today the United States Supreme Court issued a final decision on what might be this year’s most controversial topic. The new medical care system, often referred to as “Obamacare”, was officially approved today as part of a unanimous decision from the country’s highest court.

This comes as great news to millions of Americans that are currently living without any medical insurance or without enough to adequately cover them in the case of a major emergency. The new medicare system is going to essentially provide some sort of medical assistance to anyone and everyone that is in need which should help substantially in a number of ways.

Of course not everyone is in support of the ruling, but overall most analysts expect it will be a successful new plan. Obamacare as it is being called is expected to begin being implemented sometime soon and over the next few years it will likely reach full coverage around the nation. Medical care will still likely be a little bit complicated but for millions of Americans this is going to be the first and only medical option they have available. Only time will tell how successful and effective the new medicare system is but at this point it is almost guaranteed to be at least some what of an improvement over the sporadic coverage that is offered today.

Medical Organizations Testing New Senior Medicare Program

Medical Organizations Testing New Senior Medicare Program

A group of 32 hand selected health organizations officially begun using a new medical program this week in order to test the efficiency and effectiveness of what could become the nation’s new health care plan for seniors. The various organizations are scattered all around the country in order to get the best possible feedback and assuming things go well it is possible that this new system could be put into use in less than a year, depending on political interactions.

The idea of the new system is based on preventative and preemptive treatment, rather than emergency response which will in theory save significant amounts of money. Doctors and hospitals involved will communicate openly in order to best determine each patient’s necessary treatment and healthcare needs so that they can reduce hospital and sick time and improve the quality of life overall.

So far analysts are hopeful that this type of health care plan will in fact work out well for seniors and at the same time it will save doctors, hospitals, and the medical industry millions of dollars yearly. If all of this does in fact work out it would also significantly reduce cost for the patients as well as government medical programs which is precisely why it is being tested. No word on when we may hear about how well the program is working but for now everyone is hoping that it works out well as it could bring great news to everyone involved if it does.

Millions of Young Americans to Receive Obamacare Coverage

Ever since Obama was elected president the healthcare budget and healthcare plans have been a big topic for thousands of people. President Obama has made significant revisions in healthcare and now another major healthcare change has taken place. Under a new medical act sponsored by President Obama millions of young Americans will finally be able to draw medical coverage that they have needed for quite some time.

The new Affordable Care Act was designed specifically to help young Americans that are not currently covered by either their parents or another government sponsored program. Thanks to this millions of people are finally receiving the healthcare they have been missing for quite some time. This is simply great news for millions in need of help.

Analysts say this new Obamacare program is by far the most successful and most important healthcare addition thus far. Young Americans have traditionally been the most neglected in terms of healthcare and as such it has always been difficult for politicians to agree on a medical plan that would work while still fitting within the budget. Thanks to the Affordable Care Act the amount of uninsured young Americans that are not covered by healthcare or health insurance has essentially dropped by about 5% which is approximately 1 million less uninsured young Americans. Overall the Affordable Care Act has been quite successful thus far and numerous reports indicate that it is still improving and offering more and more coverage as the program begins to expand.
