Yup! No joke, no lie :).
A ticket machine was installed in a subway station in Moscow. In exchange for completing 30 squats in front of it, commuters were offered a free ticket to travel on the subway.
Some commuters took the machine up on its offer, standing on the blue sticker and doing thirty.
Once done, the machine gave them their free ticket.
At first, people were cautious, which is to be expected. A machine? A machine that wasn’t there before? And offering free travel?
Someone was curious and brave enough to try it first! He does the thirty – the ticket comes out – he kisses it!
Then the next person tries, a teenager. And before you know it, all kinds of commuters are giving it a go and getting their free tickets.
Whether this is a one-off thing is unclear, but it’s a really cool idea for encouraging people to exercise. An interesting way to do it.

World Celebrates 7 Billionth Baby
All around the world various countries are celebrating what they believe to be the 7 billionth baby born. This amazing milestone was in fact officially achieved today and despite the lack of exact tracking we know that the baby was definitely born. It could have been in Russia, or the Philippines as many people believe, or it could have been somewhere else; regardless of location of fact the world is simply happy to celebrate the birth of the 7 billionth child.
All around the world countries celebrated in their own way; many countries even gave gifts and surprised to the mothers that gave birth on this special day. Due to the impossible to track number of births and deaths it is impossible to track exactly when the 7 billionth person was brought into this world so mothers all around the world can celebrate together today.
Regardless of which child you believe may have been the actual 7 billionth child it is a truly incredible to think that there are in fact 7 billion people alive on Earth. This is a first, obviously, and analysts say that the population rate will simply continue to grow more and more rapidly as the population continues to increase. Nobody knows how long it will be until the 8 billionth baby is born but until then the world will not be able to celebrate a milestone together like this. Congratulations to mothers all around the world on this day.
