U.S. Sees Increase in Auto Sales

U.S. Sees Increase in Auto Sales

This fall brought a major tragedy to the north eastern United States with Hurricane Sandy; much of the area was destroyed or damaged severely and millions of people are still in the process of recovering from the storm. The good news is that there is some hope and there are signs that the recovery is taking hold.

The biggest indicator right now is that car dealers in the northeast are seeing an incredible increase in car sales following the storm. Millions of cars were totaled by the storm and thanks to insurance many of the owners are now out shopping for brand new cars. Car dealers are seeing record numbers in the northeast, but the sales are also way up in other areas too; both of these factors are absolutely great for the economy and the car industry as a whole.

The tragedy of Hurricane Sandy has also brought a few other pieces of good news. Donations and relief funding has been phenomenal following the storm as millions of Americans have chipped in to various charities that will help with the rebuilding process in New York, New Jersey, and other affected areas. For now the recovery is still on going but experts say it is absolutely looking promising.

Apple iPad Sales Looking Promising

Apple iPad Sales Looking Promising

Apple is constantly successful with new product releases and it looks like the recently announced iPad is not going to be any different. The first two generations of the iPad were wildly successful for a number of reasons and if analysts are to be believed it looks like the new iPad will likely be an incredible success as well. Apple announced that they had already sold out of preorders for the iPad and they are still receiving many more, indicating that the demand is just incredibly high.

This is great news because it means that the tablet market is still very much alive and the economic situation is not as bad as previously though. Many experts originally thought that Apple would have trouble selling a slightly more expensive tablet but now they’re all in agreement that there will likely be close to 2 million iPad sales on release day alone. That is an absolutely staggering number of sales from Apple and from reports it looks like things are not going to slow down any time soon. Apple is expected to increase production dramatically because they fear that there could be an iPad shortage for a number of weeks following release.

Apple has definitely hit a homerun once again with their iPad product lineup. The release date is fast approaching so if you want one, now is the time to start standing in line to grab one Hopefully Apple has enough left over for everyone to get one sometime soon.

Amazon Sets Sales Record During the Holidays

Amazon announced today that they had broken another record in terms of Kindle sales this holiday season. The Kindle has been a wildly popular line up products from Amazon and with the latest release it is not surprising to see that they’re getting even more popular. The number this time was 1 million sales per week, it has never been done before but this time it happened.

The Kindle has been selling consistently since it came out and the Kindle Fire tablet has been as well; obviously thanks to the holiday season each of these sold even more rapidly which is definitely what helped get Amazon to the 1 million sales per week category. Ebooks from Amazon and all across the board also saw significant increases in sales this holiday season with a reported increase of nearly 200% in many cases. It is quite amazing to see the speed with which eBooks and the corresponding readers have grown but it appears that they are here to stay.

Amazon is no doubt thrilled about the new sales record for the Kindle lineup and other retail stores and online sellers have reported similar sales records. This is great news all across the board as it means lower prices and a stronger economy, plus it shows that Amazon’s Kindle Fire truly does stand a chance at winning the ever popular tablet wars involving so many Android tablets and the iPad.

Auto Sales Continue to Grow Once Again

The official sales reports from various auto makers have come in and overall the news is remarkably good. Despite the slow recovery of the economy auto sales have continued to grow rapidly over the past few months and November was no different according to the results. November auto sales were up by a significant amount all across the board which is great news for everyone as it means the economic recovery is likely to continue.

Overall the automotive industry reported a growth of about 14% over last year which is a remarkably dramatic increase. Analysts say that growth at that rate is absolutely amazing given the current economic situation and overall they’re very happy with the results.

Of course the real question comes when we consider the future sales growth. Analysts are overall quite hopeful that automotive sales will continue to grow but at this point they are being careful about making any extreme predictions. Assuming the current economic situation continues car sales will most likely continue to grow at or above the current rate which is great news for the entire industry as well as the economy as a whole. For now though it is just another small victory that a massive section of the economy has managed to sustain rapid growth for nearly a year now and at this time the automotive industry is showing no signs of stopping as nearly all manufacturers are predicting even more increases in sales.
