Miracle Dog Survives

When Amanda Kloski pulled the half-alive dog from a trash bin in Oklahoma City, she had no idea the fame it would bring him. Wall-e as the dog is now called was euthanized the day before but miraculously survived.

Wall-e was left along with some other stray dogs at the Sulphur animal shelter about a month ago. When the shelter became too overcrowded, the local vet had no choice but to put the dogs to sleep. Wall-e was one of those dogs. He was injected in the foreleg and in the heart with a lethal dose of sedative and put in a trash bin. However, the dog survived. Klosi listed the dog on an adoption website and that is where the fame began.

After the story was posted on Facebook by Marcia Machtiger Wall-E became famous. He has since been flown to New York City to be on Good Morning America and over 3000 people have come forward to try to adopt him. There has been 1200 dollars donated for his care and many people want to breed him to make money.

Formal applications are being taken for his adoption and plans are to have him neutered before he goes to his new home. Applicants are being strictly evaluated as the miracle dog will go to the best home possible.

After an incident where a man drove 80 miles to try to take the dog off of Klosi’s hands Wall-E is going home with a different person from the clinic every night until his adoption.

The incident has also drawn attention the overcrowding of the Oklahoma City animal shelter. There are plans to build a new shelter underway. Donations have come in from Washington as well as Texas. The shelter will be built in Murray County and officials hope to raise close to 5,000 dollars for the project. So for they have raised 220 dollars and the donations are still coming in.

4 Month Old Baby Rescued from Rubble in Japan

Amongst all of the horrible things that have been happening in Japan recently there have been a few heartwarming stories as well. Just today a Japanese search and rescue team miraculously rescued a young baby who had been trapped for 3 days. The child was reportedly found underneath rubble and debris but shows no signs of injury.

According to many the child was found by a soldier while he searched through a destroyed building. The child’s father was nearby as he had been searching for his baby since the building collapsed. According to the child’s family they lost her when the massive storm of water took her out of their hands.

Shortly after finding her soldiers turned the child over to her parents. Of course they were very grateful that the child was in fact found unharmed. Many believe this is exactly the type of news the people of Japan need to hear; with so many dead and such tragedy spreading all across the country many are happy to hear even the slightest sign of positive news.

Many in the area said it truly was a miracle that the baby had survived, especially given the horrible state of the building she was in. Despite massive odds against her survival the 4 month old somehow survived the horrible tragedy.
