In a previously written post, Billy Ray Harris was the homeless guy who held onto a woman’s ring when she mistakenly dropped it into his cup with some change until she came back for it. The woman (Sarah Darling) was so touched by what he did that she set up an online fundraiser for him, hoping to raise $1000, $4000 at most. They ended up raising several times that – over $180,000!

Well, the good news just keeps getting better. Not only does Billy Ray now have somewhere to live and a job, but he was recently reunited with his family whom he hadn’t seen in 16 years.

How it happened was he was on a TV program with Sarah and her husband. Billy Ray had planned to have a family reunion in June, but unbeknown to him, his four siblings planned to surprise him on the show and just turn up!

Billy Ray’s younger sister, Robin, had seen the story about his good deed and from there the emotional reconnection was made with her brother via phone.

Looking at his siblings on the show, and looking very grateful, happy and blessed, arm wrapped around Robin, Harris said “This is a big payoff. Got it all right here now.”
