Coffee Shown To Boost Memory
According to a research report released this week there might be yet another benefit to having that daily cup of coffee every morning. Essentially the report shows that for participants that consumed approximately the same amount of caffeine as 1 cup of coffee there was a noticeable improvement of memory functions for both long term and short term. The study participants that received the caffeine were consistently able to outperform the other participants, making it a very real possibility that coffee or other caffeine drinks can have a significant impact.
Obviously one study was not enough to be medically conclusive so multiple follow up studies are being planned at this point. Doctors did not that it was surprising to see that the results were so black and white, making it highly likely that future studies will confirm the results. Many doctors have recommended coffee or similar drinks for patients due to the other various health benefits and now it looks like there is another reason to continue drinking coffee. This is great news for coffee and tea drinkers everywhere, so if you enjoy a little caffeine every morning now is the time to celebrate, you’ve been helping your brain remember things much better than without it.

Coffee Drinkers See Lower Risk of Death
Coffee has always been staple drink for millions of people around the world for a number of reasons. The caffeine also made it more popular with workers, students, and everyone else but now researchers say that it might have even more benefits than previously though. According to the research elderly coffee drinkers have noticeably lower risk of death.
This is absolutely amazing news because it may show just what it takes to help people live longer. Researchers say that there are still plenty of factors to consider but the results don’t lie, study participants that drank coffee consistently showed significantly lower death rates over the 14 year period.
Doctors don’t yet know what exactly it is about coffee that may be extending the lives of senior citizens, but they say that the results are great news to start with. Follow up studies are being conducted right now to determine what it is exactly in coffee that is making the biggest impact and researchers are hopeful that this will bring good news to the medical industry.
If you’re already a coffee drinker then obviously there isn’t really any reason to stop, and many doctors are even saying it might be worth starting simply because it definitely appears to be connected to health. Coffee might just have more positive effects then ever considered which is without a doubt great news for the millions of people that drink it every single day.

Coffee Linked to Anti-Depressant Effects
Millions of people drink coffee consistently every single day of the year and despite the high caffeine levels in coffee it seems there may be some additional health benefits that nobody knew about before. Coffee has successfully been proven to have a significant impact on depression in women that drink between one and three cups a day which means millions of women worldwide are feeling some positive benefits from coffee.
Depression and coffee are an unlikely connection according to many health experts, especially since caffeine usually has the opposite effect. According to the researchers there is clearly some chemical found in nearly all types of coffee that help reduce stress while also reducing the risk for depression. At this time additional research is being done to determine exactly what that chemical is but for now it is simply amazing news that coffee has this effect on women.
Of course there is a limit at which the benefits wear off according to researchers. More than 3 or 4 cups of coffee per day can reduce or eliminate the anti-depressant effects of the coffee. Because of this it is suggested that women try to stay between one and three cups per day in order to minimize depression. More research is being conducted to see if the coffee has a similar affect on men but at this point it is still too early in the study for researchers to know if the results will carry over or not.

A new study which involved almost 12,000 American nurses with a history of either heart disease or stroke has concluded that women with heart disease who consume a few cups of that fine old brew every day are no more likely to die than non coffee drinkers during the 20-year study period.
This makes caffeine and whatever risks it may or may not have still a gray area for researchers. The results of the study were published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition. Researchers are aware that clinically speaking, coffee can still cause problems because the caffeine can raise blood pressure or otherwise negatively affect the human cardiovascular system.
Other studies have indicated that coffee is more protective than detrimental, and still others suggest that coffee drinkers who have had one heart attack have no increased risk of either premature death or a second heart attack.
This study needs to go further and research other populations and their exposure to caffeine. The fact that all the participants were nurses also makes the research not representative of women in general with heart disease. Still, the study does offer happiness to coffee lovers as it supports the idea that people with heart disease who already drink coffee do not have to give it up.
Still in all, this is good news for lovers of java.
So have another cup and keep drinking it until the next study tells you that you can’t (and maybe even after that, too).
