NATO And Russia Planning To Meet
While the entire debacle in Russia and Ukraine is far from good news, there have been a few glimmers of hope from both sides. There have been numerous threats and possible sanctions proposed that would be nothing but bad news for the world, but today both Russia and NATO announced that they are in fact planning a joint meeting so this issue can be resolved peacefully. This is not necessarily good news but many political analysts feel that this is an absolutely huge step in the right direction to bringing this to a peaceful conclusion.
The exact details of the meeting are being kept quiet in order to increase the odds of success, and if things go well everyone is hopeful that this will bring the entire conflict to an end. Things have definitely been escalating in Ukraine recently and this is the best shot the world has at putting it to an end before it really becomes a problem. This meeting is a big sign of good news to come, and hopefully in the next few days word will come out that some sort of peaceful end has been reached so the fighting and turmoil can come to an end.

US Government Planning To Restrict NSA
Not too long ago word got out about just how much information the NSA was collecting both online and through phone calls. Obviously millions of Americans were upset but millions of people around the world were also affected by this awful invasion of privacy. Fortunately today the president, as well as a new task force, announced that they’ll soon be working on developing new guidelines for NSA to prevent such an invasion of privacy in the future.
Obviously this is great news for everyone in America simply because it means privacy will finally be restored. This is also great news for the millions of people around the world that were being monitored by NSA illegally, although it is hard to say exactly what will be changing. At this point President Obama and his administration had expressed that they simply want to stop the overreaching powers of the NSA and bring it into check. No word just yet on when anything will begin to happen but this move is supported by nearly everyone, including politicians on both sides of the aisle.
This is absolutely a step in the right direction and will likely be the first of many. The Obama administration is hoping to make these changes as soon as possible, so hopefully soon the NSA spying will eventually stop.

DARPA Planning to Recycle Satellites
Recycling is becoming more and more important in many industries due to cost of materials and a number of other factors. That is precisely why, this week, DARPA announced that they will soon be entering the recycling world in a completely revolutionary way.
DARPA’s plan for recycling involved satellites that are no longer in use or have failed in some way. The idea is simple, take off any and all parts that might be usable or valuable and rebuild them to be reused. Unfortunately the hard part is that they’re going to be doing all of this work while the dead satellites continue to orbit earth. DARPA is hopeful that their robotics designs will be able to accomplish the task and if they do it may save billions of dollars on future space endeavors. Currently a number of components no satellites cost hundreds of millions of dollars in some cases, by recycling these parts NASA and other agencies will be able to save significant amounts of money.
No word yet on when DARPA hopes to actually start the recycling, but at this point they’re eager to get started. There are apparently as many as 200 satellites that are considered prime targets for this program and will likely be approached first.

U.S. Government Preparing to Sell Wind Farm Leases
Wind farms have begun to pop up all across the United States in the past decade thanks to a number of factors, obviously the environmental friendly movement has helped spur this on as well. This week the federal government made an announcement that will surely help bring even more wind power to the United States thanks to a number of newly available wind farm locations.
Wind farms have traditionally been set up in the Midwest due to location and seclusion, but now the federal government is going to allow wind farm leases on the coast of Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Virginia, which will be the first in the area. The locations are considered to be very prime areas that are likely to be very profitable but up until now they simply were not available for wind power. Various power companies have expressed interest in the land so the government is hopeful that it’ll be a very successful venture over the next decade. Wind power is quickly becoming the most likely candidate for green energy and this is absolutely a step in the right direction. The government hopes that this along with other efforts will help make wind power plants and wind farms more economical and easier to build which will lead to more development in the future.

Google Stands Against Censorship
Censorship has been around forever and now that newer and more robust forms of communication are available many countries and governments are being forced to work even harder to enforce censorship. Obviously censoring the internet has become a big deal for some countries and while they are able to effectively sensor some information they are unable to do so without the help of sites like Google.
The good news is that this week Google reported seeing a very significant increase in the number of censorship requests they’ve received and still continued to ignore them. Google has always been a supporter of providing information without censorship and they have once again continued to do just that. Despite the fact that Google is now receiving thousands of censorship requests from hundreds of countries, governments, and government agencies but is still remaining open and transparent for the world to view is absolutely great news.
The minute a major website like Google begins to play into world censorship is the minute the internet will lose its information and communication methods. Google has made it clear that they will continue to share the information to the world and will continue to fight against censorship which is absolutely amazing news for anyone and everyone online. Google will likely keep getting censorship requests, but at this time it doesn’t look like they’re going to do anything of the sort.

Senate Revises Post Office Closings
The post office is a critical part of life for millions of Americans and due to a number of budget cuts the government was planning to shut many of them down this year. Fortunately for millions of people this problem has now been resolved as the U.S. Senate has officially voted to slow down the rate at which the post offices will be closing.
Another major benefit of keeping thousands of post offices open longer or indefinitely is that thousands of people will be able to keep their jobs for a while longer, and this is obviously great news. Keeping jobs and keeping an efficient postal service were two of the main goals of keeping the post offices open and Congress has clearly managed to do this as many analysts are incredibly pleased with the results.
The official list on which post offices while remain open and how long they will remain open is still under determination but it is definitely a great step. Saving thousands of jobs while still managing to keep the services open that millions of Americans depend on is absolutely amazing news all around. Fortunately it will definitely impact thousands of people in a number of ways so it is great news. The government is expected to announce their final decision on which post offices are going to remain open sometime in the next few months though it may take a while to officially release the information.

Government Planning to Approve Google Merger
Google announced quite a while ago that they were planning and hoping to purchase Motorola’s mobile division and today it looks like that buyout has made another step in the right direction. Google has been waiting for official approval on the purchase for a while now and after significant debate the U.S. Justice Department seems to be prepared to officially approve the deal. Of course this is not the final step in the process but Google and Motorola are hopeful that this will definitely help move things along.
During the various public and private debates various groups have raised concerns regarding antitrust rules and possibly monopoly conditions. Google and Motorola have worked hard to prove that these are not the case and given today’s advancement it looks like they may have finally proven that nothing illegal is going on. Unfortunately given the way these deals usually work it will probably be a while longer before the deal goes through but it is good to see some actual progress.
This is good news for everyone because Google and Motorola are expected to become a very powerful company in the near future. Thanks to Motorola’s development and hardware capability and Google’s powerful Android system this could be the biggest step forward for smartphones and since the U.S. government seems to be prepared to approve the deal it is almost guaranteed to happen. Of course thins could still go wrong but at this point analysts all agree that the deal is probably going to go through.

Medical Organizations Testing New Senior Medicare Program
A group of 32 hand selected health organizations officially begun using a new medical program this week in order to test the efficiency and effectiveness of what could become the nation’s new health care plan for seniors. The various organizations are scattered all around the country in order to get the best possible feedback and assuming things go well it is possible that this new system could be put into use in less than a year, depending on political interactions.
The idea of the new system is based on preventative and preemptive treatment, rather than emergency response which will in theory save significant amounts of money. Doctors and hospitals involved will communicate openly in order to best determine each patient’s necessary treatment and healthcare needs so that they can reduce hospital and sick time and improve the quality of life overall.
So far analysts are hopeful that this type of health care plan will in fact work out well for seniors and at the same time it will save doctors, hospitals, and the medical industry millions of dollars yearly. If all of this does in fact work out it would also significantly reduce cost for the patients as well as government medical programs which is precisely why it is being tested. No word on when we may hear about how well the program is working but for now everyone is hoping that it works out well as it could bring great news to everyone involved if it does.

Government Expected to Boost Job Growth
A new U.S. government project was announced today and despite the controversial topic it seems politicians from both sides of the spectrum are receptive to the project. The so called American Jobs Act is still in the initial planning stages but analysts believe that implementing this plan could easily create millions of jobs nationwide which could significantly help boost the U.S. economic recovery efforts.
The current plan for the American Jobs Act is based on tax incentives and spending assistance for large and small corporations that are actively working to add new jobs to their payroll. At this time there are already provisions in effect but the proposed plan would be significantly more effective according to most politicians
The good news from this plan is that it will make a big difference in terms of economic recovery; no longer will there be an issue of such extreme job shortages and in turn millions of American people will be able to get their lives back on track. No word on when the plan is expected to be voted on or possibly implemented but at this point analysts say there is a relatively good chance of it being put into action sometime soon. Congress is now dealing with the plan that President Obama approved and depending on the results we may or may not eventually get to see the possible benefits of this amazing and likely significant job creation project.

Jesse With Gov. Christie http://politics.blogs.foxnews.com/
Jesse Koczon became a YouTube star after his parents uploaded a video of him sobbing because he was unsuccessful in running for governor of New Jersey in 2009 but now he is celebrating. In the video Koczon was talking to his mom about his attempt at running for governor and she quickly began filming; Jesse was also quite upset that he was not allowed to vote.
At the time Mrs. Koczon had no idea the video would become so popular but she says she has never regretted uploading it. Jesse immediately became popular and eventually even managed to win $10,000 on a popular TV show for home videos. None of them expected what happened this year though; New Jersey Governor Chris Christie reached out and offered his own kind of support.
In an official act Governor Christie officially made Jesse the state governor for a day, Jesses’s brother was also given the position of lieutenant governor for the same day. The two spent the day doing various things within the state government including even giving an official press conference.
Jesse was able to live out his childhood goal by being granted the position of governor for a day but he has said time and time again that he intends to run for office as soon as possible. Governor Christie reportedly gave him numerous tips and suggestions throughout the day as well; who knows, Jesse may eventually become a well known political figure all thanks to Governor Christie.
